Santa Ana Retablo

Santa Ana ~ Retablo on wood
purchased at Spanish Market
Santa Fe New Mexico ~ 2008

This is the most beautiful piece of art I have ever
acquired. The first in what I hope is many. The
colors are so soft, up close it is velvety.

She is the patron saint of mother and children
and families.

May you, your children and your family
find joy and happiness today.

...and everyone who has a mother, right? :)

This is so very beautiful, indeed. Those fabulous Spanish Markets are truly amazing, I think.

And this choice is one which is perfect for such a nurturing person as yourself.

Thank you so much, Paula!

That is truly beautiful, Paula. The colors are rich, and the way the figures seem to be peering from between parted curtains is charming. And those soulful eyes.

Are you coming to Indian Market?
