Ohh, Paula, I have been to those markets are they are fabulous! I have this lovely bracelet my husband purchased for me at one of them. I love it because I can wear it comfortably even when I type on my computer.

Now you just have to love these colorful images you have found. You gotta love those colorful boots on that woman with the all white...well, except for the boots!
And that skirt looks so great on that thin girl...it would make my bum look like a sofa, though! LOL

Thanks so much for sharing and for the memories, Paula!

Great pictures, Paula.

I thought you'd probably make the Market.

Love seeing these. That belt is something else. This isnt the market on the common or green or whatever in the town center is it? Under the portico. When I was there there was a humble showing and I think an old time location for sales of native american handworks. I can't now recall what that center of town spot is called.

Paula go to www.artmoney.org for more on artmoney. Artists can make little pictures of a particular size (4 something by 7) and send them to the art money site in Denmark I think. Then people can purchase the piece of artmoney for $34 or comparable for the money of their country. They can either keep the artwork to look at or can take it to various buisinisses that are listed and use it as money or instead of money. However most of these places are in Europe. I just thought it was a cool idea.

Paula, this is a most interesting market. I love the Southwest and its art. Thanks for taking me there.

I was first introduced to the art of the Southwest when I lived in NYC. Interior designers were Southwest crazy in the mid 80s. Looks like a very interesting market.
